Atomic Creamery vision is to be a throw back to a simpler time, a destination for friends, families, special occasions, a place for gathering and to be true to ourselves and guests in creating the freshest ice cream. We begin by being committed to serving the freshest, smoothest flavor packed scoops beginning each and every time with Straus 5 ingredient organic dairy base or Oatly non-dairy base, we then flash freeze with our sourced ingredients — right before your eyes ... it’s faster then you ever could believe.

From a small penciled sketch to a brick and mortar store front Josh and Kari are on a mission to turn a passive investment into an household name from the ground up, creating, blending, pairing and churning one of a kind Nostalgic, simple and truly unique creamations one scoop at a time.

Locally we have strived to create not only a destination but to see to it that we are serving the freshest, if not the best, ice cream available. We have also been active in our community and will continue to support local schools and youth sporting programs.

We believe that ice cream should not only taste gold standard AUmazing, but our ingredients should be AUmazing.  We take ingredient-sourcing VERY seriously and choose them based not only on the quality and taste of their products, but also on how they fit into our business mission and vision: keep it fresh, keep it premium, keep it unique

Only The Best


From our thick dense ice cream to our house-made pink Himalayan salted caramel, we strive to use only wholesome real food ingredients whenever possible in everything we do.

We know that nothing ruins a great batch of ice cream like artificial flavors, colors, emulsifiers and stabilizers, so we strive to give wholesome goodness to our customers. In the process of making our ice cream the use of Liquid nitrogen allows us to control the overrun, a fancy term for the amount of air that is trapped in the ice cream. Traditional makers have 40-50% overrun, ours is 20% or less which, in turn, equates to more flavor in each bite. Butterfat is another component that determines if the product is truly “ice cream” or just a frozen dessert. Our dairy base is an organic 5 ingredient base that comes direct from Strauss Dairy Family our dairy base provided our product with the rich, milky and creamy texture that we all know and love. A contributor to that is the fact that our butterfat content is upwards of 15% to 16% exceeding the store brought average of 10% and minimum required to be labeled as ice cream.

Our product may not always be guilt free but we think and you may agree all the guilt comes with the pleasure of knowing that we are striving to provide the highest quality of product.

Our History


Established in 2017

We were founded on the idea that simple and real is best. We don't have a gimmick, our ice cream has always been presented in its truest form, simple, real with flavor from real ingredients not syrups. A top quality product is what we are built on thats why all of our ice cream is fresh made to order. The results are amazing, decadent and stand out ice cream! This is how we started and this is how we will continue.

We started in a quaint shop at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, California. We recently moved into a much larger location at Fashion Island to create a space where people could step back in time and enjoy their ice cream together.

We take pride in our hard work and in our staff. We strive to hit the mark every time to provide an exceptional product and old-school quality service.
